Bio
Sinéad Skinner has been working in costume since 2013. Now establishing herself as a designer, she has been working on a raft of films and TV projects and is building up a varied CV. This covers everything from 2nd World War reconstructions on Nazi Megastructures for the National Geographic channel, award winning shorts, including Annabel Lee which won best costume at the Unrestricted View Horror Film Festival in 2021, and comedy feature, The Loneliest Boy In The World, set in the 80s and starring Susan Wokoma, Ben Miller and Max Harwood. She designed Liz Carr's red carpet outfit for the 2022 Olivier awards and the first two series of BBC's school drama Phoenix Rise. Most recently you can see her work in Susan Wokoma's directorial debut, Dark Skin Bruises Differently.
She also has a strong reputation as a costume supervisor and assistant designer, her assistant work includes Netflix:What Next? 2026 commercial, The Wedding Season for Disney+, People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan and critically acclaimed, and multi award winning, BBC3 drama Killed By My Debt.
Sinéad gained a degree in photography at Middlesex University and worked in television production before turning her sights to costume. She started working in theatre on various projects, including Book of Mormon (Prince of Wales) and the Old Vic New Voices production before moving into film and TV.
